Making it Through December Laughing All the Way

December was a crazy month or me. I had multiple finals, tests, projects, and auditions to worry about. I was rushing around every day from one thing to the next. I never really got to enjoy the month of December until the week of Christmas. Haha I can't believe this month is almost over already! I can't believe this YEAR is almost over already!

I called my post "Making it Through December Laughing All the Way" because
1. my cute Jingle Bells emoji shirt from Hollister
2. December was so crazy all I COULD do was laugh all the way.

I spent most of my days just finding the small things that made everything I was doing worth it.
Laughing with my friends about how stressed we were about finals, just trying to have fun during the not-so-fun weeks of the end of the semester.

My favorite part of this entire month was spending time with my family for Christmas. Everything was peaceful and bright. And the rest of the year can end with a big sigh of relief. I have a special post coming up in a few days to celebrate something very fun! So be on the lookout for that! :)

Now that I think of it, most of this post is all from Hollister. My plaid shirt, graphic tee, and jeans. The booties are from Forever Young Shoes and my hat has been in many of my posts before.

The Sunday Before Christmas

It's the Sunday before Christmas and all through the house...

I absolutely love the Sunday before Christmas. Today my sacrament meeting was filled with the sweet gift and spirit of music. There is nothing more sweet than singing Christmas hymns. I love going to the lights at Temple Square and being able to hear many different groups of individuals singing them. This year was very bittersweet for me because it was my first year not performing Christmas music with a choir group there in five years. However I performed in the Christmas program today with my family and ward choir and I could feel the same peace and happiness I used to feel when I would go out with my school.

Not only is the music on the Sunday before Christmas beautiful, but so are the lessons. We are reminded what the true meaning of Christmas is. Our thoughts are turned to the Savior and less on Santa and all of the presents. The gift of giving. The giving of service, sharing our talents, spending time with family, and remembering Christ and His birth.

In this post I'm wearing a NEW dress from Bohme Boutique. Isn't it adorable?? I always have a hard time finding modest dresses and just about DIED when I found this gem was modest. I wore a black tank top underneath and my black booties. I LOVE the dark maroon color of the dress and the black and gold accents in the neckline. I think it adds the perfect amount of holiday spirit.

Also I'm SO very sorry I've been a little MIA lately!! The end of semester with school was just a MAD HOUSE. But now finals are over. Auditions are done. And now I can try to focus on getting my life together before the spring semester starts next month! So hopefully I won't miss another three-four weeks anytime soon! :)

Thank you all for bearing with me and reading my blog. You guys are AWESOME!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Thankful For

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I love spending time with family and friends on this beautiful holiday. There are so many things to be thankful for and I love the month of November because it helps us focus on the things that really matter.
I am thankful for warm clothes and boots that keep me warm in these colder months. Off to the side I had my winter coat and gloves waiting for me when I took these. Not two seconds after I was finished, the FREEZING COLD WIND knocked off my hat and sent it flying into my snowy yard and I had to go chase after it. Even though I was wet and cold, I still found something to be thankful for ;)

Now, if it wasn't -20 degrees outside I would have had a little more of a variety in my poses. (And if I wasn't freezing my bootie off!!!) But me and Jen were trying our best to get in and out as fast as we could so here's the result of that haha!

In this post I'm wearing a maroon sweater from Gap, paired with my Kohls bohemian cardigan, my Flying Monkey burnt orange pants, and MUK LUKS winter boots. I threw on my maroon fedora to keep the fall look together.

I'm thankful for my family who love me and support me in all that I do. They are so special to me and  I love them dearly. I'm thankful for my friends and their wonderful examples in my life. I always feel so loved spending time with them, they never fail to make me laugh and smile. I'm thankful for the gospel and my father in heaven who watches over me and loves me. I'm thankful for the atonement and the plan of salvation and Jesus Christ's perfect example, my heart is so full because of Him.

I feel truly blessed this Thanksgiving and I'm grateful for all of the people in my life. Thank you ALL for everything you do. Thank you for reading and all of your sweet comments. Happy Thanksgiving!

I Heart:

I heart music.
I have always had a love for music. I can't even find the words to describe how much I love it. I can't go a day without it. Music is my passion. Listening to it, singing, playing, and creating it.. I have a very special place in my heart for music and the joy that it brings me in my life.

I heart my family.
My family means the world to me. I love to spend time with them. I really missed out on spending time with them throughout my jr. high and high school years because of how many extra curricular activities I was involved in, but since graduation I have really grown and found the amazing relationship/bond that a family can have for one another. I love having family movie nights, playing games together, and going out to eat as a special treat. I'm so very grateful for them and all that they do for me.

I heart fashion.
I have always loved to mix and match patterns. I would always play with fun colors and crazy designs. Looking back in my junior high years I just laugh at some of my outfits I came up with, but I wouldn't change it. I love to put myself in my clothing and be creative no matter how "crazy" the outfit seemed.

I heart warm weather.
I do not like the cold. My whole body is cold and it is purple and there is absolutely no way to warm up no matter how many blankets or socks or hoodies I have covering me. I promise you, I will be cold. And IDONOTLIKEIT.  I love the snow and the fun festivities that come along with the winter time, but the cold... I can do without. My heart yearns for the beach and the sun and the HEAT.

I heart art.
I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't love to draw or color. Ever since I was really little I would draw pictures in class and have other students ooh and ah over my little cartoons and art projects hahaha asking me if I would draw them stuff. Haha! I'm so glad I got back into drawing after I graduated, I just wish I had more time to work on more things!

I heart animals.
When I was little I wanted to be a vet but then decided I couldn't bear seeing them in pain.. Sooo that's no longer a dream of mine ;) But I have always had the softest spot for animals. They melt my heart more than anything else. One day I'm going to have a pet fox. Or a pet deer like Aubrey Hepburn. And one day I'm going to hold a koala. And some day I'm going to ride an elephant. And even if none of those work out, I'm going to at least get a dog before I have a child. There's no way I won't have a pet when I grow up since I had to wait most of my life for my sister to get one!

I heart dance.
I took ONE dance class when I was 5 and that pretty much consisted of me spinning in circles and kicking my legs up and down to the music.. It wasn't until my first musical that I realized I had a natural knack for it. Ever since 7th grade I have been a featured dancer in every single show that I've ever been a part of since then. Whenever I don't have a dance class or at least dance practice, I feel like I'm missing something in my life. I have really grown to love it with all my heart.

I heart nature.
Nothing is more beautiful than the earth. I love how peaceful it is up in the mountains. All of the different types of plants, flowers, and trees. I love the beach. I find the ocean so fascinating. I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful world around me.

I heart movies.
I love to watch them, I love to go to them, I love to be in them, I love the whole package with them. I love when my family gets together and watches a brand new movie on dvd or when I have a movie nights with friends. And I love acting, I really want to be an actress, and I love what it feels like to be on a movie set, filming, and being around that environment.

I heart Jamba Juice.
Smoothies in general actually. I've come to the conclusion that I have a job JUST so I have enough money to buy smoothies in my life. "Pink Star" is the most heavenly smoothie I have ever tasted in my entire life. Life can't be bad when you have a smoothie in your hand. ;)

I heart being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The gospel brings me so much joy in my life. I'm a better person because of it. My heart is filled with so much love and charity. I love it. It's comforting, it's divine, it's beautiful, and it's the greatest thing in my life. I wouldn't trade what I know for anything else in this entire world.

I heart every single one of you who take time out of your day to take a look at my blog.
I am so grateful for your support and your love! Thank you so very much for reading. If you have any suggestions of some posts you'd like me to do, please just comment or send me an email. I would love to hear some feedback from you guys :)

Thank you again for your support! I love you all :)
